Maccassio's fired track is trash says Nuru

Nuru, a co-founder of Xtreme Music and double as a rapper from Tamale, northern part of Ghana describes Maccasio’s new song titled Fired as a trash, immature and childish. Nuru attached the video of the song with write-up on his facebook timeline “Ma people for Tamale jux dey make some unnecessary noise about Sharif Abdul Majid. Dem make I share en cover yestee sef. Maccasio I thought you knew how to rap. Just watch this video and see wat ma nigga do.”

Maccasio is one of the vibrant musicians in Tamale who has also gained attention nationally due to his hard work and style of rap.

What Nuru wrote about Maccasio’s song got several music lovers in the region arguing. Some described it as a move by Nuru to promote the video of the song “Fired.” Unfortunately, some radio personalities in the region lashed him after he ill wrote about the song.

However, Nuru defended the post in an interview on Radio Justice 98.5 Metro Mix Drive on Friday evening with King Hassan.

Speaking to him from Johannesburg on the Drive Show, he said, he really meant what he wrote about the song. “To me, the lyric of the song is basic and childish.” When King Hassan asked him whether what he wrote on facebook was meant to promote the song, he said “I posted the video for people to watch and see whether it is a trash or not.”

Well, Nuru also described Ghana’s music as irrelevant. When asked why, he said “I was a nominee in the just ended AFRIMA2016 Awards and despite Ghana having several nominations, only VVIP took two awards “Best African Group and Video of the Year.”
